Walk in Epping Forest

Come an enjoy a 5 mile walk in Epping Forest in the middle of May with a group made of up of people associated with Saint Mary le Strand.
Epping Forest is one of London’s little-known gems: a 5,900 area of grassland and woodland that starts in Leytonstone and ends north of Epping in Essex.
We will meet at Liverpool Street at the seating area near Platform 6 at 9.15 am.
After getting the 9.33 train to Chingford we will then undertake a 5-mile walk/amble through some interesting parts of the forest.
The walk will end in Highams Park where those of us who wish to will be able to enjoy a good pub lunch in The Royal Oak
Can you please email Sandy Christian sd.christian19@gmail.com if you would like to come on the walk indicating if you would like to reserve a place for lunch too. All can enjoy at drink at the end of the walk in the pub, but I will need to book a table/tables for those who are eating. We should reach The Royal Oak in Highams Park at 12.30. The pub is a 5-minute walk from Highams Park Overground Station which goes through Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line) and terminates at Liverpool Street.
